CALL FOR NATIONAL PRAYER AND DIALOGUE ORGANISED BY FEDERAL MINISTRY OF WOMEN AFFAIRS

Honourable Minister of women affairs organised a national conference to discuss the security issues bedeviling the nation. In attendance were women organisations such as Christian Association of Nigeria, FOMWAN, Women in Force, political appointees, party leaders and so on.

The conference is going to be holding in different states of the Country that has more security challenges till the 18th of June 2021 with the pilot conference holding in Abuja. She added that the security challenges in the country has become too much to bear hence this action.

While thanking the President for giving her the opportunity to organise the conference, she also thanked the first Lady Dr. Aisha Muhammadu Buhari for sponsoring the program, UNWomen and ministry of women affairs.

The Honourable Minister while delivering her speech thanked the stakeholders for attending the conference and called on women all over the country to go to God in prayers because a desperate time like this needs to be approached with desperate measures. Stating that nothing is too big for God to handle and the prayers of mothers is easily answered by God so Nigerian women should not relent in getting their prayers answered.

Also, While giving her speech, she encouraged the attendees to pray and support the Borno state Governor who is giving hope to the hopeless, rebuilding the state destroyed by the activities of the terrorist. She also urged the government to see to the needs of those at the IDP camps as most of the population there are women and children.

The difference religious groups were then asked to pray for the Nation where they unanimously prayed for peace and prosperity, prayed against kidnap, banditry and all forms of violence against women. and the event was wrapped up.
