United Nations Ambassdor for Peace and Executive Director of WeWe Network Afrique, Ms. Adaora Onyechere, popular host on the Talk2Adaora show today charged youth globally to action while incorporate the UN slated essence of the celebration.

In her words as seen on her social media handles:

This year’s International Youth Day tagged; “Youth Engagement for Global Action” which seeks to highlight the ways in which the engagement of young people at the local, national and global levels is enriching national and multilateral institutions and processes, as well as draw lessons on how their representation and engagement in formal institutional politics can be significantly enhanced.

Youths are questioning – are we inheriting the social inequality from older generations? Or are we taking action and demanding a new vision for a just and peaceful future?

We must rise above our differences and begin to make direct impact on our common habitat – Earth. Youth are more important than ever. The global youth population has reached more than 1.85 billion, its highest ever. As we face the crises of the pandemic, racism, gender inequality and global conflict, youth are essential for a path forward. As a progressive youth, I enjoin us all as we celebrate the International Day for Youths, we must all rise, support and collectively put into perspectives the essentials that strengthens our community.Adaora Onyechere UN Ambassador For Peace ED WeWe Network Afrique
